Collin

Collin is a 15 year old 16.1-16.2 Oldenburg gelding sired by Clinton II. We’ve had him for the past 5 years competing in the 1.20-1.25 but we are limiting him to a 1.15. He has 10 plus years of show experience and could do either the jumpers or equitation. Collin would just need a lunge in the mornings some days to get his giggles out for the equitation- we like to have the extra energy for the bigger jumpers but he can easily be toned down. He’s very kind and will do anything asked of him and if you ride to win I almost guarantee he’ll win. That’s just how special he is. I’ve never seen a bigger heart and a want to jump clear. He’s super broke on the flat: leg yields, shoulder in, haunches in, counter canter, etc. He loads, trailers, ties, shod, trail rides etc. Collin has always loved his job and we are very particular to where he goes. He could go anywhere climate wise but we’d like to have him out of Arizona because of the heat. We are leasing because he’s too special to sell and we are dwindling the amount of horses we have due to work and riding. Plus he loves his job too much to just stop showing and competing. He has minimal upkeep and we would do injections before he went out on a lease. That can be talked about with serious leasers. He is currently in San Tan Valley at home and not in a show stable but he could go either way he was in a show barn his first 10 years. Priced low low 5 figures for yearly and only to 5 star homes. He gave my daughter the best 5 years of her life and we owe it to him to give him the same treatment. Placing wise he has been champion or reserve almost at every show he’s been too. Top 10 placings in Vegas the past 4 years he’s gone, circuit championships in Colorado, Zone 8 championships, and horse of the year many years in a row for zone 8.
