Active in the sport for more than a quarter of a century, Kate’s passion for horses began at age four. She competed in her home state of Michigan, in Pony Divisions, Junior Hunters, and Equitation.  After graduating high school, she moved to the East Coast to work with Anne Kursinski and Mark Leone, and then competed rigorously for two years in Europe.

Returning to California, she fell in love with teaching and started her own business. Now in her fifteenth year, Kate feels fortunate to have been a part of some of the best competitions the sport has to offer.
