Casofino

Share

Casofino is a medium framed, short coupled Holsteiner gelding showing great potential as a show jumper or eventer. His conformation, willingness, strong competition pedigree, all around rideability and phenomenal athletic ability make him a desirable prospect for a serious competition rider. He has been under saddle for several months with Andrea Baxter in San Miguel, CA and is presently schooling Beginner / Novice level cross country and 1.0 meter in jumping. He would be a suitable mount for an advanced rider or an ambitious amateur in a regular training program.

Cas's sterling pedigree has the former Grand Prix showjumper Contefino as his sire. Contefino was a successful showjumper in Europe, where his jumping ability was described as "freakish", until suffering a career ending injury and now stands in Southern California. His damsire, legendary Holsteiner stallion Calido, sired many international competition progeny and had several offspring competing in the 2008 Olympics.

Cas has been vetted and xrays are available.

This horse is bred for sport and could do well in any discipline, but we see showjumping as the sport which will give him the greatest opportunity to realize his fullest potential as a top level competition horse.

Cas recently showed at the Harvest Schooling Show at Paso Robles Horse Park, where he placed second in the .80 meter class and went clear on the .95 meter course, and yes, we have video.

We have extensive video of him under saddle and free jumping, just ask!
